Sunrise has named Andreas Tolpeit as its new Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee, effective 1 September 2026. He will join the Swiss telecommunications company on 16 August 2026, succeeding Jany Fruytier, who will depart on 31 August 2026 after a structured transition period.

Tolpeit brings extensive international experience in finance, corporate strategy, and digital transformation. Most recently, he served as CFO of Cognita, a global private schools group, where he significantly improved financial performance, expanded margins, and led the company’s technology, innovation, and AI strategies.

Before Cognita, Tolpeit was Head of Investments at Jacobs Holding in Zurich. In that role, he led the development and scaling of international platforms in dental care and education, overseeing corporate strategy, deal sourcing, due diligence, financing, and the execution of multiple international transactions.

In a LinkedIn post announcing his appointment, Tolpeit expressed enthusiasm for joining Sunrise, Switzerland’s leading challenger in connectivity.

“Sunrise is Switzerland’s leading challenger in connectivity and it’s clear that ‘challenger’ isn’t just positioning — it’s a mindset that runs through the organisation,” he wrote. “I look forward to joining this exceptional team… There’s real momentum here, and I’m excited to help build on Sunrise’s strong foundation as we write the next chapter together.”

In his new role, Tolpeit is expected to strengthen Sunrise’s financial performance, boost profitability, enhance cash flow generation, and support the long-term implementation of the company’s strategic agenda.

André Krause, CEO of Sunrise, welcomed the appointment, stating:
“I’m very pleased that, in Andreas Tolpeit, we have been able to attract to Sunrise a proven financial expert with international experience and strong strategic skills.
