Ciena taps Marc Graff as new CFO

Ciena, an American optical networking systems and software company, has appointed Marc Graff as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Graff brings over 30 years of experience in finance and joins the technology giant from Altera, where he also held the CFO role and played a key part in the recent sale from Intel to private equity firm Silver Lake.

With over 26 years at Intel Corporation, Graff has held pivotal roles. As Corporate Vice President, CFO, and COO of the Data Platforms Group. As Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, he collaborated with Intel’s CEO and CFO to guide corporate planning, enhance earnings, and streamline financial processes.

Earlier, as Vice President of Finance and Senior Group Controller for Sales and Marketing, he led a 400-person global team, driving revenue growth through strategic market analysis and forecasting.

Marc’s career began at the University of Colorado System as Associate Director of Budgets and Capital Planning, managing funding allocations and representing the university in legislative hearings. His extensive experience in financial strategy and operational leadership continues to propel Altera’s growth in the tech industry.
