Francois Oberholzer, Chief Financial Officer at flydubai, has emphasized the airline’s ongoing dedication to digital innovation following the launch of a new collaboration with Network International that introduces faster, more secure payment options for passengers at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

“Investing in the latest digital solutions has been a longstanding commitment at flydubai,” Oberholzer stated. “We are pleased to have collaborated with Network International. As our operations continue to grow, offering our customers seamless payment solutions will ensure that we continue to enhance our operational efficiency while delivering a convenient and elevated travel experience, both on the ground and in the air.”

The partnership integrates Network International’s advanced Push to Pay solution directly into flydubai’s point-of-sale (POS) terminals at key airport service touchpoints. This technology eliminates manual card entry, enabling frictionless, contactless transactions that are quicker and more secure for travelers.

The enhanced system supports all major international card schemes, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Diners, while also incorporating Jaywan, the UAE’s national payment scheme. As a result, passengers gain greater flexibility and choice, allowing them to complete payments with ease and confidence during check-in, ancillary services, or other airport interactions.

Network International, a leading fintech provider in the Middle East and Africa, has positioned this initiative as a key step in elevating the customer journey. The collaboration ensures flydubai will continue to leverage Network’s expanding portfolio of innovative payment tools, maintaining reliability and driving ongoing improvements to passenger-facing services.

This move aligns with flydubai’s broader strategy of embracing cutting-edge technology to support its rapid expansion. The Dubai-based low-cost carrier operates a modern fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft. It serves more than 135 destinations across 58 countries, spanning Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC, the Middle East, South Asia, and South-East Asia.

The partnership also reinforces Network International’s standing as a trusted enabler in the aviation and travel sectors, contributing to the UAE’s broader ambition of delivering seamless digital experiences across key industries.
