Phanindra Nichanametla, CFO, Airtel Nigeria emerge as InstinctBusiness CFO’s CFO of the Week

Phanindra Nichanametla, a seasoned finance expert and Chief Finance Officer of Airtel Nigeria with over three decades of telecoms industry experience emerges as InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.

Prior to joining Airtel Nigeria in March 2023, he was with Airtel Africa & Bharti Airtel HQ where he managed India, Sri-Lanka & Bangladesh. His career has taken him across multiple geographies, including Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South Asia, where he has focused on key areas such as; Business Partnering, Business Strategy Formulation and Execution, Client Management and Business Development.

Phanindra excels in translating operational specifics into targeted finance and business deliverables. His adaptive nature has enabled him to thrive in multicultural and geographically diverse environments. He has a proven track record in remote team management, ensuring the achievement of finance-specific objectives through optimal resource use, control-driven accounting, and business processes. His expertise extends to internal and statutory audit management, team building, and team engagement.

Abigail Mukhuba, Finance Director, Sanlam Group emerge as InstinctBusiness CFO’s CFO of the Week

Abigail Mukhuba, a skilled financial professional currently serving as Sanlam Group Finance Director has been recognized as InstinctBusiness CFO of the week. She is an Executive Director on the Sanlam Board, and member of the Actuarial Forum and the Risk and Compliance Committee.

She joined Sanlam from African Rainbow Minerals Limited where she served as Finance Director. Abigail has held several senior financial management roles at Exxaro Resources, Limited, BMW SA and KPMG Inc. Ms Mukhuba is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Directors South Africa.

 

 

She is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and holds a B Compt from UNISA, BCom Hons Accounting from Rand Afrikaans University (RAU), MCom South African and International Taxation (RAU) and an MBA from the University of Cape Town.

Samuel Owusu-Mensah, Chief Financial Officer, Telecel Ghana emerge as InstinctBusiness CFO’s CFO of the Week

Samuel Owusu-Mensah, an experienced financial expert and Chief Financial Officer of Telecel Ghana has been recognized as InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.

Samuel is an accounting & finance professional with over 17 years of experience in the UK, Channel Islands and Ghana with in-depth experience across telecommunications, audit & advisory services.

He is a Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and currently has the overall responsibility for the Finance function at Vodafone Ghana, specifically business partnering, management and co-ordination of financial reporting and controls, budget preparation, capital and operating expenditure.

 

 

He has been working with Vodafone Ghana for about 5 years. Prior to joining Vodafone, he worked at PwC UK for 10 years in different capacities 4 years in KPMG before then where he trained as a Chartered Accountant performing several consulting and audit assignments including financial/accounting systems implementation for big corporates.
