As Group Chief Financial Officer of Letshego Holdings Limited since March 2020, Muteiwa orchestrates the finance function for a pan-African inclusive finance powerhouse, steering fiscal strategy, risk management, and sustainable expansion across diverse markets from her base in Gaborone.

Her ascent to this pinnacle role was forged at ABC Holdings Ltd (BancABC, part of Atlas Mara), where she served as Group Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, she commanded the finance operations spanning six Southern and East African countries, ensuring robust financial governance amid complex regional dynamics.

Prioritizing precision and innovation, Muteiwa previously held the position of Group Head of Finance Transformation. Here, she masterminded the rollout of a unified financial controls framework, standardizing systems and processes across the group to enhance efficiency, compliance, and scalability—laying the groundwork for resilient multinational operations.

Earlier, over a 12-year tenure at ABC Holdings, Muteiwa excelled as Chief Financial Officer for Zimbabwe, overseeing retail and wholesale banking, asset management, and micro-lending subsidiaries. This role honed her ability to integrate diverse financial streams into cohesive, high-performing units.

 

Muteiwa’s foundational leadership emerged as Managing Director of ReNaissance Merchant Bank from October 2006 to July 2011, where she spearheaded strategy execution, customer acquisition, and aggressive growth initiatives, complemented by sharp corporate advisory acumen.
