These outstanding Chief Financial Officers have showcased exceptional financial acumen, strategic foresight, and unwavering dedication, ensuring their organizations’ growth and stability in a dynamic economic environment.

Here are the Top Three (3) CFOs of the Week:

Anbann Chetti, Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of African Bank emerges as the InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.

Prior to joining African Bank, he held the position of divisional executive of the Finance Management Retail division at Capitec. Throughout his career in the banking industry, Anbann has held several key finance roles, including head of finance (CFO) positions within Nedbank’s Private Wealth South Africa and Corporate Banking divisions.

He also occupied senior finance roles at Standard Bank’s Global Markets South Africa, Interest Rate and Money Market, and Acquisition Finance Group divisions. Anbann’s career began at Absa, where he was the head of specialised finance transaction management. During this time, he completed his master’s degree in international accountancy at the University of Johannesburg. He holds a CTA and a BAcc degree from the University of Durban Westville and has undertaken various executive development programs.

David Abwoga, Group CFO Of NCBA has been recognized as InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.

He has over 25 years regional experience in Audit, Operations and Finance, having worked for several years in various executive management positions at Citibank N.A., Marshalls (E.A.) Ltd. and Deloitte.

Mr. Abwoga holds a BA degree in Economics from Moi University and an MBA, Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, CPA (K) and Certified Public Secretary, CPS (K) in Kenya.

Mr. Yusuf Omari, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Absa Bank Kenya emerges as InstinctBusiness CFO of the week.

Yusuf joined Absa Bank Kenya PLC in 2004 from Audit Firm, KPMG. He previously worked as the Head of Internal Audit East and West Africa cluster and then as Head of Compliance before his appointment as the Chief Financial Officer in 2009.

He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Yusuf is also a Board Member for The University of Nairobi Enterprise Services and ICPAK.

He is a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Internal Auditor. He holds an MBA from Strathmore Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi.
