With over two decades at the helm of financial strategy, Risper Genga Ohaga has cemented her reputation as a preeminent finance leader. Her distinguished career weaves through the core sectors of Africa’s economy-from financial services and consumer goods to audit and corporate governance.
Ohaga currently serves as Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of East African Breweries Limited (EABL), a subsidiary of Diageo Plc and one of the most significant consumer businesses in Eastern Africa.
Since assuming the role in February 2020, Ohaga has been at the heart of EABL’s strategic and financial transformation. Working closely with the Group Managing Director, Board, and Executive team, she plays a central role in shaping and delivering the company’s long-term strategy. Under her financial stewardship, EABL—listed on all three East African stock exchanges—has sustained a turnover exceeding USD 1 billion, reinforcing its position as the second-largest company on the Nairobi Securities Exchange by market capitalisation and one of Diageo Africa’s most critical business units.

She provides functional leadership across finance, with oversight of taxation, financial reporting, treasury management, investor relations, and business performance, supporting EABL’s ambition to become Africa’s most respected and best-performing consumer business.
