As a seasoned finance executive, Adaralegbe brings visionary leadership and oversight to some of Seplat’s most critical functions — seamlessly integrating financial stewardship with operational excellence to drive sustainable growth and value creation.
Her tenure with Seplat Energy Plc has encompassed several pivotal roles. Previously, as Vice President of Finance, she managed a broad portfolio that included financial oversight, tax strategy, and supply chain operations, leveraging her deep expertise to drive organizational success.
Before that, as General Manager of Finance, she was responsible for financial control, reporting, joint venture partner finance, stakeholder management, and tax administration, delivering impactful results in a dynamic business environment.
Eleanor’s career extends beyond Seplat Energy Plc, reflecting a rich history of leadership in the energy and finance sectors. She held the position of Country Finance Manager at AEDCL (Atlantic Energy), where she oversaw national financial operations.
At Addax Petroleum, she excelled in dual roles: first as General Manager of Supply Chain & Nigerian Content, where she spearheaded contracting, purchasing, and the Supply Chain Organisation Excellence (SCORE) initiative across logistics and procurement functions; and later as Senior Finance Manager, managing corporate and government reporting, budgets, treasury, payroll, and tender board advisory responsibilities.
Earlier, as Manager of Budgets at Addax Petroleum, she handled corporate and government performance reporting while serving as a key liaison for financial partnerships and cost recovery matters.

Her foundational experience includes a role as Country Finance Manager at Ocean Energy, a subsidiary of Devon Energy, where she initially served as Accounting Manager, overseeing general ledger accounting, budgeting, and reporting, before assuming broader leadership responsibilities as country head in Nigeria.
Eleanor’s academic credentials underscore her professional achievements. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Master of Science in Global Finance from Bayes Business School.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), she has further enhanced her expertise through executive education at Harvard Business School, completing the Advanced Management Program and a course on Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage.
