Since stepping into the role of Group Chief Financial Officer at Eclosia Mauritius, Cédric Poonisami has been steering the financial strategy of one of the island nation’s most influential conglomerates. With a career that spans aviation, tourism, fintech, and strategic consulting, Cédric brings a wealth of experience, a strong academic foundation, and a distinctive leadership style to the table.

Before joining Eclosia, Poonisami held numerous senior positions that highlight his capacity for driving change and adding value. At ICPS, he served as Finance and Administration Country Director, where he led key organizational transformations. His earlier role as CFO of the same firm saw him optimize card processing operations and introduce impactful improvements.

At Rogers Aviation, Poonisami was instrumental in aligning financial and HR functions to business goals during a period of rapid expansion. Earlier still, at Mautourco, he managed finance, HR, IT, and marketing for a team of 285, embedding a performance culture while optimizing costs.

Poonisami’s corporate footprint also includes board-level roles such as Non-Executive Director at BlueConnect Ltd and executive leadership positions at BlueSky and Hertz. His early career as Senior Company Administrator at DCDM Management Services Ltd helped shape his approach to governance and corporate management.

Known for his analytical sharpness and people-first philosophy, Poonisami champions mentorship, mindfulness, and high-performance cultures. At Eclosia—a diversified group active in food production, logistics, commerce, and more—he is now at the helm of financial strategy, supporting the company’s vision of sustainable growth, economic development, and social cohesion across Mauritius, Africa, and the Indian Ocean.

Beyond his executive duties, Poonisami is a dedicated contributor to knowledge and leadership development. He lectured at the University of Mauritius and served on MCB Group’s Superannuation Fund Management Committee for four years. Most recently, he joined the Association Progrès du Management (APM) in April 2024, reflecting his ongoing commitment to progressive leadership.
