Yellow Card, a leading stablecoin infrastructure company, has appointed Ross Everett as its first Group Chief Financial Officer, marking a significant milestone as the firm accelerates its expansion beyond Africa.
Everett, who previously served as Group Financial Controller at the UK digital bank Monzo, brings deep expertise in scaling financial operations within high-growth fintech environments.
Chris Maurice, Co-Founder and CEO of Yellow Card, highlighted the appointment’s strategic importance. “As stablecoin infrastructure moves from promise to scale, we need financial leadership that can keep pace. Ross has built that discipline before, and he’ll build it here,” he said.
In his new role, Everett will oversee Yellow Card’s global finance function, taking responsibility for financial strategy, planning, reporting, treasury, capital management, and overall financial governance. Before Monzo, he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, Barclays, and KPMG, giving him a strong foundation in both traditional banking and professional services.

The creation of the Group CFO position comes as Yellow Card continues to broaden its footprint. The company currently operates across more than 50 markets and is developing its stablecoin infrastructure platform to serve banks, fintechs, and multinational corporations. The platform enables cross-border payments, provides dollar liquidity, and supports treasury management solutions.
Yellow Card’s expansion plans have been backed by substantial capital. Following a $33 million Series C funding round that brought its total equity financing to $85 million, the company more recently secured an additional $40 million in strategic funding. The capital is earmarked to support growth into Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.
