With over 15 years of experience in Botswana’s financial sector, Icho-Molebatsi has built a reputation for strategic leadership and robust financial governance. Her career spans pivotal roles at leading institutions, including BancABC, Old Mutual Financial Services Botswana, and Stanbic Bank Botswana, where she honed her expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
At Access Bank Botswana, Icho-Molebatsi oversees the finance strategy, ensuring accurate reporting of the bank’s balance sheet and income statement while managing audits and stakeholder engagements.
Icho-Molebatsi’s leadership extends to setting up comprehensive finance procedures and driving business performance analysis to maximize earnings and mitigate risks. Previously, as Group CFO at Old Mutual and Finance Director at BancABC, she strengthened financial controls and strategic planning, contributing to organizational growth.
During her tenure at Stanbic Bank Botswana, Icho-Molebatsi progressed from Manager of Financial Accounting to Head of Finance, where she chaired key committees, including the Procurement and Internal Financial Controls Committees.
Icho-Molebatsi implemented cost-saving mechanisms, ensured compliance with international financial reporting standards, and maintained a healthy control environment. Her early career as an Audit Senior at Deloitte & Touche laid a strong foundation in financial discipline.
