A seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of experience in financial management, strategy, and governance, Antoinette Kwofie currently serves as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MTN Ghana. Since October 2021, she has been at the helm of the company’s financial operations, driving fiscal efficiency, risk management, and sustainable growth in Ghana’s leading telecommunications company.
Beyond her role at MTN Ghana, Antoinette serves as a Non-Executive Director at MoMo from MTN, a position she has held since April 2024, contributing to the expansion and governance of the mobile financial services sector. She is also a key figure in professional networks, acting as an Executive Committee Member of the Executive Women Network since 2020, where she champions leadership development and diversity in corporate spaces.
Antoinette’s career spans prominent leadership roles in banking and finance. Before joining MTN Ghana, she was the Executive Director and Regional CFO at Absa Bank Ghana & Absa Nigeria from September 2020 to September 2021. She previously served as Executive Director, Finance at Barclays Bank Ghana (now Absa Bank Ghana Limited) for over eight years, where she played a pivotal role in financial strategy and business performance. Additionally, she was a Non-Executive Director at the Minerals Income Investment Fund (2019-2021) and Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd (2016-2020).
Her extensive career at Barclays Bank Ghana included roles such as Chief Finance Officer/Finance Director, Financial Controller, Head of Business Performance & Analytics, Finance Business Partner, and Senior Professional Staff at Ernst & Young Ghana. She has also held finance leadership roles in the UK, including positions at Barnet Enfield & Haringey Mental Health Trust and Haringey Primary Care NHS Trust.
A strong advocate for professional excellence and financial governance, Antoinette has been an influential figure in the Ghana Bankers Association CFO Network, serving as Vice President from 2017 to 2021. She is also an active Member of the Board of Trustees at Barclays Bank of Ghana Provident and Pension Fund Trustee Board, a position she held for over nine years.
Her leadership extends beyond corporate finance, as she has been the Treasurer of the Old Achimotan Association since 2020, reflecting her dedication to community service and alumni engagement.
