Electronic trading major, IG Group Holdings plc has appointed Clifford Abrahams as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and as an Executive Director.
He will join the Board and take up his role as CFO with effect from 16 December 2024.
Clifford Abrahams is a highly experienced CFO, having overseen the finance function for several significant financial institutions. He joins from Virgin Money UK plc, where he has been Group CFO since 2021. Prior to this, he was Group CFO at ABN AMRO Bank for nearly four years, and before that, Group CFO at Dutch insurer Delta Lloyd Group.
Mr Abrahams spent his early career at Morgan Stanley in the Financial Institutions Group, latterly as Managing Director, before spending ten years at Aviva in various senior finance roles. Clifford has an MBA from Wharton Business School and an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.
