Cleversoft Group, a leading provider of cloud-based RegTech solutions to more than 1,200 financial institutions worldwide, has appointed Sascha Wellershoff as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

Wellershoff, who brings over 25 years of financial leadership experience, joins from Asseco Solutions AG, where he served as CFO since September 2022. Before that, he held senior finance roles at Allianz, Retarus, and Munich-based cybersecurity firm Virtual Solution, where he successfully steered the company through its acquisition by the Materna Group.

Founder and CEO Florian Clever welcomed the appointment, highlighting Wellershoff’s proven expertise in corporate management, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and investor relations.

“Sascha’s track record in driving sustainable growth and delivering long-term profitability made him the ideal candidate to guide Cleversoft through its next chapter,” Clever said. “His strategic and operational experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand globally and integrate our recent acquisitions.”

In his new role, Wellershoff will report directly to Clever and take a seat on the company’s board. He will oversee the entire finance function, play a central role in integrating the 2024 acquisitions of Turkish fintech Fineksus and German wealthtech Tetralog Systems, and help shape Cleversoft’s international growth strategy.

Wellershoff succeeds Christoph Reitberger, who is leaving the company after five years as CFO to pursue new professional opportunities. Reitberger originally joined Cleversoft in 2007, left for a decade-long tenure at Commerzbank, and returned in 2019 to take the managing director and CFO positions.

The leadership change comes at a time of rapid expansion for Cleversoft, which continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for automated regulatory and compliance solutions across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
