VFD Group Plc, a fast-growing pan-African investment company, has announced the appointment of Azeez Adetayo as its Acting Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

The move signals the Group’s commitment to deepening financial discipline and strategic execution as it enters a new phase of expansion across its investment portfolio.

Azeez Adetayo brings over a decade of robust experience in financial management, strategic finance, treasury operations, corporate reporting, and governance. He joined VFD Group in 2024 and has rapidly risen through the ranks, most recently serving as Financial Controller and Senior Finance Manager. In that capacity, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the Group’s financial reporting, planning, performance management, and overall financial architecture.

Commenting on the appointment, Nonso Okpala, Managing Director of VFD Group Plc, expressed strong confidence in Adetayo’s capabilities:

Adetayo’s career spans several notable organisations. Before joining VFD Group, he served as Finance Business Partner at Deloitte (Audit West Africa), Corporate Finance Associate at African Circle Pollution Management Limited, Treasury Analyst at natnudO Foods, and earlier roles in accounting and financial operations.

The appointment comes at a strategic time for VFD Group, which continues to expand its footprint in investment management, financial services, and other key sectors under Okpala’s leadership.
