KPI Green Energy Appoints Kapil Kriplani as CFO

The renewable power generation company and a vertical of the KP Group, has appointed Kapil Kriplani as its new Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel.

KPI Green Energy, a renewable power generation company and a vertical of the KP Group, has appointed Kapil Kriplani as its new Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel.

The appointment follows the recommendation of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee. Kriplani joins at a significant phase for the group, as its turnover approaches the Rs 5,000 crore mark, placing strong financial leadership at the centre of its growth strategy in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

He succeeds Salim Yahoo, who has tendered his resignation from the role of Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel. Yahoo will be relieved of his duties in due course, with the formal date of cessation to be notified separately.

Kapil Kriplani brings more than 21 years of post-qualification experience spanning corporate finance, treasury, taxation, capital markets, strategic transactions, financial structuring, and business transformation.

His career includes senior leadership positions at several prominent organisations, among them Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, Bhartiya International Limited, Reliance Capital Limited, ACME Solar Energy Private Limited, and Vedanta Resources PLC.
Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – Finance and Global Head of Treasury and Taxation at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

In that role, he oversaw global treasury and taxation functions, covering fund management, capital allocation, working capital, foreign exchange, borrowings, tax structuring, and regulatory compliance.

Kriplani has extensive experience in executing complex financing and strategic transactions. These include large project financings, external commercial borrowings (ECBs), bond issuances, sustainability-linked financing, as well as business demergers and divestments.

A Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from MDS University, Ajmer.
