A distinguished finance executive and chartered accountant with a robust career spanning more than two decades in financial leadership, strategic advisory, and operational excellence, Ogaga Ologe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics (Second Class Honours) from Delta State University. This strong analytical foundation has supported his successful transition into finance, where he has demonstrated exceptional numerical acumen, strategic insight, and leadership capabilities.
He currently serves as Group Chief Finance Officer at Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group, an international investment and holding company with diversified interests across Africa and other emerging markets. In this role since July 2024, Ogaga oversees the comprehensive finance function, supports ambitious growth strategies, optimizes operations, strengthens internal controls, and ensures full regulatory compliance across a broad portfolio that includes fast-moving consumer goods, agricultural inputs, industrial chemicals, homecare products, pharmaceuticals, and value-added processing of locally sourced raw materials.
Prior to joining TGI Group, Ogaga built an impressive track record at Mondelēz International, where he spent over 12 years with Cadbury operations in West Africa. He rose to Financial Director for Cadbury Nigeria and served as Board Member of Cadbury Ghana Limited (2019–2024), acting as a trusted strategic business partner to the Managing Director and commercial teams. His earlier roles at Mondelēz included Finance Controller West Africa, ISC Finance Controller, and Financial Reporting Manager & Business Partnering. He also led key transformation projects, including full SAP implementation and the deployment of SAP Analytics Cloud to improve forecast accuracy across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Ogaga began his professional journey at KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria (2003–2012), advancing to Manager in Audit and Advisory Services. At KPMG, he led high-profile IFRS conversion projects for major companies including the Dangote Group and Huawei Technologies, and managed financial statement audits and due diligence for clients in manufacturing, telecommunications, aviation, and hospitality sectors.
